The Opportunity

Gibson Watts is a global search and recruitment business that partners with organisations focused on driving forward sustainability through clean technologies. Our clients are across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Due to our continued success, we are looking to hire a graduate Researcher to join our search team in London. As part of the team, you shall support recruitment through our Professional Search processes to recruit and attract top talent for senior and executive-level positions.

The Role

The position will involve providing traditional research support to the team while ensuring that reports and data integrity is of the highest quality for our clients. As well as being a research role, there will also be substantial opportunity to grow and develop within the team and work closely with consultants to assist with new business and client engagement.

Some tasks required for the role are:

  • Conduct thorough research to navigate target organisations and build lists of candidates that accurately reflect the client briefing.
  • Identify relevant candidate profiles using a variety of sourcing techniques.
  • Execute direct talent sourcing practices and candidate screening techniques to include resume pre-screening, telephone interviewing, and shortlisting.
  • Use competency-based interviewing techniques to qualify suitable candidates.
  • Work closely with colleagues and occasionally clients to set expectations for the recruitment process and to fulfil the required search briefing.
  • Conduct ongoing candidate pipeline development activities and talent network expansion for active and future requisitions.
  • Balance deadlines and deliverables for multiple searches at a time.
  • Maintain data quality and accuracy within the company’s internal database.
  • Support key business development activities.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A high degree of customer focus and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Good attention to detail born out of a research-heavy degree.
  • Strong drive for results and a commitment to producing a high level of work efficiently and often within tight time frames.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change and ambiguity.
