- Recently we launched the Green Hydrogen platform that will bring together all the innovative material and chemical solutions the Group has to offer to advance the emerging Hydrogen economy. We are committed to help boost progress of a Green Hydrogen economy by focusing on advanced materials and technologies enabling higher performance, more efficient, more cost effective and safe equipment needed to produce, deliver and convert green hydrogen in particular.
- As a SteerCo member of the worldwide Hydrogen Council, Our mission is to feed the pipeline with viable investment projects to scale-up the Clean Hydrogen value chain technologies through partnerships in the area of research, development and innovation.
We count on you for:
- Support application research and development of ionomers (polymers with ionic properties) for H2 production (electrolysis) and H2 conversion (fuel cells) applications. Your objectives will be
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop membranes for fuel cell and water electrolysis.
- Support ionomer formulation and coating development activities for cast and impregnated membranes making.
- Correlate material and processing parameters with performance of membrane and electrode.
- Execute screening and durability evaluation of membrane and electrode.
- Plan and perform a wide range of testing protocols, including performance, reliability and durability, for membrane and electrode in fuel cell and water electrolysis setup.
- Report results analysis and key findings.
- Understand the effect of chemical modifications of the ionomers on membrane and electrode performance and durability.
- Support failure analysis and post mortem evaluation of membrane and electrode.
- Assist in the review and monitoring of patent/scientific literature relevant to our products/technology.
- Collaborate within an internal and external worldwide network of application labs to exchange and develop best practices and bring the best in class solutions to customers.

You will bring:
Education and Experience
- Experience in polymeric membrane formulation and fabrication.
- Master Degree or Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in fuel cells, batteries, membranes, or other electro-chemical devices.
- Experience in membrane electrode assemblies is a plus.
- Experience in polymers chemistry, polymers physics and characterization is a plus.
- Industrial experience in Research and Innovation (R&I) is a plus.

You will get
- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: $90,000 to $130,000. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
