JOB DETAIL

 

Our client is a global leader in Materials, Chemicals and Solutions, who brings advancements in planes, cars, batteries, smart and medical devices, water and air treatment, to solve critical industrial, social and environmental challenges.

 

We are looking for:

 

  • Dedicated to polymerization, post-treatment & finishing production lines.
  • Support running EPO’s to qualify the new products and changes in the production process.
  • Consolidate the new processes and capabilities to produce new products.
  • Follow and improve the current and the new technology production performances (product quality and process consistency, opex, capex, environmental compliance).
  • Be the interface between R&I, Process technology, and Production teams to scale-up innovations.
  • Organize support activities for the design and start-up of new production lines.
  • Keep the focus on productivity performance (OEE) through the ownership of the overall improvement action plan
  • Tracking and communicating key unit performance measurements related to productivity and yields
  • Ensure the compliance of environmental emissions and the achievement of sustainability targets.
  • Developing and implementing capital projects (as assigned) to support improvements.
  • Supporting maintenance team to improve plant reliability identifying and solving recurring equipment problems.
  • Participating in setting up workflows to facilitate production at higher rates.
  • Serving as subject matter expert for shopfloor personnel training to reinforce good manufacturing practices.
  • Ensuring safe operations by identifying and resolving gaps.
  • Participate in PSM, more specifically in Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.
  • Connected to upstream monomer's raw materials production lines.
  • Connected to Quality, R&I, and Process technology teams.
  • Functionally supported and reporting to the Process technology function for industrialization.

 

You will bring:

 

 

Education and experience

  • Master Degree or Ph.D. in chemical process engineering, chemical engineering in the field of suspension/emulsion polymerization and polymers post-treatment related chemical and process engineering unit operations (dispersion, drying, separation, purification).
  • 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Industrial site experience in innovation technology transfer and industrialization.
  • Experience in working in polymer synthesis extrapolation pilots or small industrial units is a plus
  • Additional background in organic chemistry and/or materials science is a plus.
  • Industrial experience in Research and Innovation (R&I) polymerization pilots is a plus.

 

Technical skills

  • Six Sigma methodologies and project management skills.
  • Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of radical polymerization and fluorine organic chemistry is a plus.
